Muc Mhara 2008 - 2nd IWDG International Whale Conference
19-21 September 2008
Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney, Co Dublin
The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group hosted a conference on Ireland's smallest whale - Muc Mhara or the harbour porpoise. The harbour porpoise is the smallest and most frequently observed of all Irish cetaceans. They can be seen in all Irish coastal waters and from many sites along the Dublin coastline. An incredible list of experts attended the conference which was a unique opportunity to learn more about this most intriguing, yet poorly understood of our marine mammals.
