Rathlin Island wildlife watching weekend17th Jun 2015
IWDG is running a weekend of guided outdoor land, and optional boat based, wildlife watching again this year on Rathlin Island, Co. Antrim. The course will also include three illustrated talks on Cetacean Identification & Field Skills, Whale & Dolphin Ecology and Sounds of the Deep. Last year we had several sightings of harbour porpoises, grey and common seals and a minke whale as well as an abundance of seabirds for which Rathlin is famous.
There is also a chance to see the amazing Golden Hare of Rathlin! The cost of the course is £40 for IWDG Members and £50 for non-members. The price does NOT include food, accommodation or optional boat trip. The boat trip lasts 3 hours and costs £30per person. Accommodation on Rathlin this year is limited due to the refurbishment of the Manor House and the closure of one of the hostels so please book your accommodation early!
