WhaleLog Project

The WhaleLog project is a collaboation between the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group and the Irish Air Corps. The project aims to improve data collection of cetaceans (whales and dolphins) observed during daily overflights of Irish territorial waters by the Air Corps.

IWDG Ship Suveys

Start Date: 2001 Status: Ongoing

IWDG Ship Suveys conduct surveys for cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) on board 'Ships of Opportunity' (ShOPs). The project utilises research vessels and commercial ferries for its surveys.
